#sorrynotsorry

Well, I can't believe it's been almost a year since I've last published something over here... I am really sorry for my absence. Still, I can't promise to write everyday,  'cause my life this year changed a lot. I am happy at the moment, I worked a lot on some projects and I found love in the most unexpected  place... I will pause the blog, 'cause my perspective on life changed too. Like you can see, 2017 was wonderful. Maybe I will find my courage and update the blog to the new me. I appreciate every reader of my posts and I must say a thank you to you all. I hope 2018 will bring you all everything you need.

Define home

 1 HOME

  noun | \ 'hōm \

Home in a sentence:
Home is where your heart is.
As long as we are together, we are home.
Home is a box with memories.
Home is not about four walls, but about happiness and sadness in a dance that you can not forget.
A house with a soul is named home.
Home is made of dreams  and years and hopes.
There's no place like home.

My definition of home:
For me, home is somewhere up on a hill, in a small village with a road out of pebbles and a blue sky. Home is where forests are caressing my eyes, where my lungs enjoy the fresh air and my heart enjoys every single night to meet the moon. Home is where I dance barefoot through snowflakes that are falling. Home is where everyday I hear a dog barking, a cat asking for my attention, where my parrot is singing and my roosters too. Home for me is a place and not just a person. Is where I drew for my first time in the sand, where I watched the lizards all with my grandpa by my side. Home is where the Sun is shining brighter in Summer, is where the deer are coming to feed themselves. Oh, yeah, home is where I can go in a cart with a horse named Snowdrop. Home is where is so peacefully at night, that you can hear the air planes through the sky. Home is where every day I come from school, my mother is always waiting for me, with the lunch ready. And I tell you, that she doesn't only cook, she makes art and every bite from her home made food, is like a taste of heaven, making your senses to explode. Home is where I laugh and cry and laugh again. Is the place that transformed me, made me stronger and mature. Home is the place that made me the happiest. I always wanted to come here and now I am and I love every second I spend here... Home is where I am myself, is where I can write the most, create poems, make art in every single form. Home inspires me. Home is where love is. The place where my parents will always wait for me... Home is where I can make my dreams come true. Where the most beautiful flowers are growing, where the wind blows slowly, where I can stay in a hammock and read any book that I want. Is where I run and dance and sing and do the silly things that any human being is doing when it's not seen or thinks so. Home is where sleeping is sweeter. Where weekends are brought to life by my father's arriving from his whole week job. Home is this house, build by my grandma especially, a grandma that I never had the pleasure to meet, but I still love her and I think her soul is still between these walls. Home is where I felt a million times and still hoped for the best. Is where I listened to that special boy band that became my dream, whose members became my boys... my sweet boys... Is where time flies and still remains the same. I know every corner of my home, every moment spent, every breath... My home is where I stay and write this post, is where at this very moment I cry like a stupid little girl who is thinking about her future. Home.

How I rebuilt my self confidence in my teenage years

My experience

I am back, again... Today I want to write about a time in my life that was quite hard, but also beautiful and that's the adolescence. Now that I am older, I can clearly see how things were. I wasn't the ultra popular type of girl or sociable one, I was more like a shy person between introvert and extroverted. I am a talkative person,  but only with close friends and not acquaintances.
My teenage years were full of self confidence issues. I thought that I was the problem in all the equation, but the truth is that I wasn't. I am different than the people I am surrounded. I am an open minded, I like to see things in a different light, to give people more chances than they deserve. I faced school bullying.
My colleagues used to laugh of me from no reason, to attack me verbally. I am not a violent person and I will never be one, no matter the situation I'll be put in. I like to resolve a problem with calm. They tried to change me from a hard working pupil to someone of their level. They failed. And that's because every time I was attacked (sometimes everyday), I ignored their hate. I embraced the positive aspects, I was optimistic. I am a stronger person than I know and you are too.
You just need to find the strength. Don't let yourself to be their prey. You don't need to respond with violence, you only need to be brave. There are cases, that are worse than I lived. It's truth. If you live an experience with bullies you need to tell your parents or to someone who is listening. You don't need to ignore the problem. I just ignored their words. But I've always knew who I was fighting with. Even so, they never ceded. They continued the illogical fight for years.
Every time I was going to school it was like "What they planned for today?". There were times when I couldn't respond to their hate. I was too weak. But that experience made me evolve and now I know more about people and their personalities.
How I rebuilt my self confidence?
Day by day when I was coming home, I was wondering what I did wrong? In short time, with my mother's help, I've seen the truth. The problem was not in me. I tried to be the nicest person, but they didn't stop. The issues were shortly known by the school master itself. Nothing changed. They hated me, because they've seen in me the things they couldn't be. I am not complaining and I don't want to sound like a victim, I just want to help you and to explain my situation better.
This is what you should do to rebuilt your self confidence:
Start by loving yourself: I once launched a challenge about self love ( The Self Love Challenge 13)
Know yourself better: that helps a lot. If you know who you are, than you don't need to believe every word the bullies are saying.
Don't compare yourself to others: you are an unique piece of art.
❤ Talk to someone about your problems
Embrace positive thoughts
Embrace your insecurities
Make peace with yourself
Stop looking for flaws that don't exist
Learn that you are enough
Enjoy the time you spend alone: feel good into your skin.
Don't let words to break your heart: be strong.
Stop overthinking
Be optimistic
Nobody is perfect: that's why life is so beautiful and full of surprises. The salt and pepper of life.
Face your fears
Trust your instinct
Celebrate your little successes
Remember life is not a competition or a catwalk

Hope this post will be helpful and if you need help, to talk to someone or to ask a question I am here to listen. Write your comment in the comment section below. Thank you for reading this. Hope you'll find the strength you need!

Say no to overthinking

What it means to overthink?
Overthinking means that you think too much. Simple definition. I recognise that in some situations I can't stop analysing and thinking about every single possibility over and over again. Overthinking is when you continuously think about something that happened or that could happen. Overthinking is when you take every single circumstance, situation and think about every scenery that could happen.
Why is overthinking dangerous for your health?
↬ it brings stress into your life
↬ it makes you to worry
↬ less sleep
↬ overthinking creates doubts about yourself
↬ lack of peace
↬ lack of confidence
↬ lack of efficiency in everyday activities
↬ unhappiness
↬ you can't concentrate
So these are what overthinking causes. In time, overthinking destroys you piece by piece. Remember that you don't need to control everything, because life is beautiful only if it's unpredictable.
When you surely know that you overthink?
↬ you can't stop thinking about something that happened to you or that will happen
↬ you create scenarios for an event based on what you think could happen
↬ instead of being concentrated on the activity you are doing, you tend to analyse past activities
↬ you worry too much about the future
↬ you analyse every social interaction and it's consequences
↬ being unfocused
Say no to overthinking
It's hard, I know. But here are some activities you can do to keep your mind occupied. Overthinking it eats us alive, from inside to outside.
walk for a few minutes, take a deep breath and let it go
  run or do some workout
listen to music and calm down
  focus on something else
talk to someone, go somewhere with your friends
❤ spend time with your pet, go to the park, play with your dog
  art can help too
like I've said don't stay alone
  cook something
do some math to keep your brain occupied
  resolve another kind of problem
  make a puzzle
 meditate
don't be scared, embrace who you are
  start loving yourself
❤ be confident despite everything else
A piece of advice from someone who sometimes overthink
I have my moments when I stay in bed at night and every single thought I've ignored during the day, comes back to life. It haunts me and implores me to analyse it. I am a perfectionist and I always have a backup plan.
When I don't have one, I feel less confident, a little bit scared about what can happen. I don't see it as a problem, because I don't worry too much, I accept the failure if it exists, I embrace who I am and see things in a positive light.
I am aware that some people are not like me. They worry and they do it a lot, they hate making decisions, they imagine the future in all its possibilities...
Sweethearts, don't forget that all that matters is the present. The past we carry with us for the rest of our lives, the future is unpredictable no matter what we do, but the present and how we react to it is our chance to evolve.  Don't think too much when you want something, just go for it. Don't complicate your life when you don't have to. Stop transforming little problems in bigger ones.
You've got this moment, right now, when you can do anything else than overthinking and it will get you closer to what you want from life. Happiness starts when you refuse to take with you today the problems of yesterday. Life starts at the end of your comfort zone. We all make mistakes, but they don't define us. Our mind tends to be a scary place, but you are not forced to travel through the woods alone. Make friends, spend time with them, talk and let it go.
Every time you need me, I am here to listen.
